Samsung Duplicate Files

Many users with a Samsung phone find that the storage space on their phone is surprisingly full. Something that contributes to taking up a lot of memory is having many duplicate files, something that happens if we download the same document or photo more than once, even when we don’t realize it. Knowing which files are duplicates is not something that is easy to determine at first glance. Luckily, Galaxy phones have the My Files application, which allows us to easily find these duplicate files on the phone within seconds.

The steps we have to follow to do this are as follows:

  1. Open the My Files app on your Samsung phone
  2. Look for the options at the bottom of that screen.
  3. Click on the orange button that says “Analyze Storage”
  4. Wait for the analysis to be performed.
  5. Go to the Duplicate Files section
  6. Choose the files you want to delete from the phone

The process itself is very simple, and it only takes a few seconds. This way, you can immediately see how many and which files are duplicated on your Samsung phone and decide what to do with them. If there are files you want to keep on your phone, you can do that, but you can also delete those that are unimportant and are taking up unnecessarily storage space.
